She Shed Redo

I have this old shed in the backyard that I decided a year ago is going to be my She Shed. Here’s the problem, the previous old homeowner put siding on the shed and let it rot, so mice and spiders love it.

Well I love it too so they are being evicted. I contacted a slew of handymen who wanted to charge me 3800 to replace just the siding. Ugh no, material is 500. Yep so guess what, I’m doing it myself. I am going to buy the T1-11 board, two sheets at a time and fix this old girl myself.

Have I ever done this before? Nope. Do I have a circular saw? Yep. Do I have a nail gun? Nope but I have a drill , electric screw driver and a shitload of screws. Do I know how to do an accurate measurement? Nope but i will figure it out, after all what is you tube for anyway.

This is going to be great, the shed couldn’t get worse so what do i have to lose other than a few hundred bucks and my sanity, ha

Stay tuned as I may have a new profession

SlapYaMama body butters

During quarantine I decided to learn something new. I decided on body butter because I swear I spend a million dollars to stay soft. The first fragrances my friends bought and I was sold out in a week. I have soft, thick (those heals and elbows) and they all smell great great. The best thing is they are organic and all natural, no weird ingredients and a whole lotta love. They can be used on both hair and body. I hope you love them

All items can be found on my Etsy store using the link provided. Happy Shopping

For the love of wallpaper

I love color, print, and home improvement projects. I had previously tried to update these old closet doors and needless to say it wasn’t good. Last week while shopping at my very favorite store “goodwill” I found this fantastic animal print wallpaper for 6 bucks a roll. I bought both rolls and came home to get busy. It took me 2 full days of scoring and scraping to get the old ugly wall paper off but now the doors are FANTASTIC, no one can say I’m boring. My decorating style is certainly bold. I hope you like it.

She shed adventures

There is this massive ugly shed in our new backyard so I got the bright idea this is going to become a she shed.

But not the fancy thousands of dollars shed, everything in it is either thrift store or recycled from the move. Yep there’s water damage and spiders but she will be great when done

Tiffany blue is the outside color, hydrant that the last owner thought was a decoration is now pink to match the shed chairs and a cute little bark seating area

Blogging

I am researching the whole “make a profit from your blog” concept and in my quest for information I read a book that suggested my grammar needed to be perfect. I do not agree with this and let me tell you why.
• I want people to follow my blog because of my fun personality and great information and a lot of that has to do with my slang and off the wall perspective and humor. None of which obey good grammar rules
• I spent 4 years of my life in college getting my bachelor’s degree and had to write using correct syntax, why would I torture myself for the rest of my life doing the same.
• I have two college graduate children and for the past 9 years I have been the editor and chief of every one of their papers, I’m tired.
My hope is that when you read my blog you can’t help but smile at least once.

frugal food hack

First let me say I shop the grocery outlet like it is my religion. If you don’t have one in your town I’m sorry. This is my go to spot for all things nuts, cheese, and dried fruit. Not to mention they have a great organic section.

  1. Huge block of swiss tillamook cheese $4.99
  2. Dried cranberries .99
  3. Mixed nuts .99
  4. Dried fruit combo .99

Total $8.00

The assembly line included my cute little ikea snack containers and in about 4 minutes I had a weeks worth done and ready for both my husband and myself. I also have enough cheese left for months and the nuts and dried fruit should get us thru the end of the month. I added some chopped apples to mine and it is fabulous and I am proud of my food hack
